Learn Reiki in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition, in the peaceful setting of the yurt and the Harmony room at the Synchronicity Centre, within easy reach of Cardiff, Penarth, and Barry.
Unlike larger training schools, every course is limited to a maximum of four students. That leaves plenty of time for questions, practical experience, individual guidance, and building your confidence. One-to-one training is also available.

What Students Say
The three levels
The journey through Reiki is traditionally divided into three degrees, or levels. Each level is a stepping stone that deepens your practice and your personal connection with Reiki.
Reiki Level One (Shoden, the First Degree)
The foundation for using Reiki in everyday life. No prior experience is needed.
What you will learn: the basics of Reiki, self-treatment techniques, sharing Reiki with family, friends and pets, grounding, protection, and plenty of hands-on practice.
- Attunements: You receive a series of attunements, which in the Reiki tradition are understood to open and clear your energy centres (chakras).
- Practice: You learn hand positions for yourself and others. Much of this level is about self-care, using Reiki as a calming daily practice.
- Goal: To become a “clear vessel” for Reiki. By the end, you can offer Reiki to friends, family, pets and plants.
Format: One day, 10am to 4.30pm. Small group (maximum four) or private one-to-one.
Investment (certificate included): Small group £185 | Private one-to-one £230
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of £100 secures your place. It lets me prepare for your course in advance, so the day feels seamless and relaxing.
Reiki Level Two (Okuden, the Second Degree)
For those ready to deepen their practice or to practise professionally. A Reiki Level One certificate is required.
What you will learn: the Reiki symbols and their traditional uses, distance Reiki, working safely with clients, and preparing for insurance and professional practice.
- Goal: To expand your practice beyond the “here and now”.
Level Two is often called the “Practitioner Level” because it gives you the tools to practise Reiki professionally. You receive a certificate for the course, and your practitioner certificate follows once you have completed your case studies. You can show this to an insurance provider when arranging practitioner insurance.
Format: Two days, 10.30am to 4pm. Small group (maximum four) or private one-to-one.
Investment (certificate included): Small group £225 | Private one-to-one £275
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of £150 secures your place.
Reiki Level Three: Master Teacher (Shinpiden, the Third Degree)
The spiritual level of Reiki, where the focus turns inward and the energy becomes more refined. It is less about doing and more about being.
- The Master Symbol: You receive the fourth symbol and deepens your connection with Reiki.
- Your personal practice: You learn to look after your own energy through self-care, daily self-treatment, meditation, and healthy energetic boundaries.
- The teacher path: You learn how to give attunements to others and gain the skills and confidence to teach Reiki classes yourself.
Dates are available on request, including weekdays by arrangement.
Important information: Completing Reiki Master Teacher training gives you a Reiki Master Teacher qualification and prepares you to continue towards teaching Reiki. This is a Reiki-specific qualification and is not, by itself, a general teaching qualification. If you intend to teach Reiki professionally, you may also need a recognised teaching qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), depending on the organisation or accreditation you choose to work with. Teaching and insurance requirements vary between professional organisations and insurers, so please check your chosen insurer’s requirements before you begin teaching.
