Welcome to Laura Reiki & Reflexology. These Terms & Conditions have been created to ensure a professional, respectful and positive experience for every client while protecting both you and the Business.
They apply to all appointments, complementary therapy treatments, Reiki training courses, workshops, retreats, events, gift vouchers, prepaid treatment packages, promotional offers and any other services provided by Laura Reiki & Reflexology.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a treatment, enrolling on a course, purchasing a gift voucher or treatment package, or making any payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Definitions
Throughout these Terms & Conditions:
“Business” means Laura Reiki & Reflexology.
“Client” means any person who books or receives a treatment, course, workshop, retreat, event or any other service provided by the Business.
“Treatment” refers to Reiki, Reflexology or any complementary therapy offered by the Business.
“Course” includes Reiki training, workshops, retreats, events and any educational services offered by the Business.
“Package” means any prepaid course of treatments, promotional offer or discounted service purchased in advance.
2. Booking & Payment
Appointments may be requested by telephone, WhatsApp, email or any approved online booking method.
A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit or full payment has been received.
Same-day or next-day appointments require full payment at the time of booking.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to decline or refuse any booking at its discretion.
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and may be amended at any time. Any price changes will not affect appointments or services that have already been confirmed.
3. Deposits
A deposit may be required to secure appointments, treatments, Reiki courses, workshops, retreats, events or other services.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Payment of a deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Where a required deposit has not been received within the requested timeframe, Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to cancel the provisional booking without further notice.
4. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Non-Attendance
Laura Reiki & Reflexology understands that plans can occasionally change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an individual treatment appointment.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice is given, the Business may, at its sole discretion, transfer any deposit paid to one alternative appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, failure to attend an appointment, or appointments missed without prior notice will result in the deposit being retained. Where applicable, Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to charge the full appointment fee.
Clients arriving late may receive a reduced treatment time in order to avoid delaying subsequent appointments. The full appointment fee remains payable.
If a client has not arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time and no contact has been made, the appointment may be treated as a non-attendance and cancelled.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to refuse future bookings where there is a repeated pattern of late cancellations, missed appointments or non-attendance.
5. Prepaid Treatment Packages & Promotional Offers
From time to time, Laura Reiki & Reflexology may offer prepaid treatment packages, courses of treatments, promotional offers or discounted services.
These offers are provided at a reduced price in exchange for payment in advance and are subject to the following terms:
- Full payment is required at the time of purchase to secure the promotional price.
- All prepaid treatment packages, promotional offers and discounted services are non-refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
- The treatment package or promotional offer selected at the time of purchase cannot be exchanged for an alternative treatment or promotional offer once the first appointment has taken place, unless agreed in writing by Laura Reiki & Reflexology.
- Prepaid treatment packages are valid for a period equivalent to the number of treatments purchased, expressed in months, unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of purchase. For example:
- Four (4) treatments are valid for four (4) months.
- Five (5) treatments are valid for five (5) months.
- Six (6) treatments are valid for six (6) months.
- All sessions included within a package must be booked and attended before the expiry date.
- Any unused sessions remaining after the expiry date will automatically expire and cannot be refunded, transferred, exchanged or extended, except at the sole discretion of Laura Reiki & Reflexology in exceptional circumstances.
- Failure to use all sessions within the validity period does not entitle the client to a refund, credit or extension.
- Prepaid treatment packages are personal to the purchaser and may not be shared, transferred or exchanged for cash.
- Standard booking, cancellation and rescheduling policies apply to all appointments booked as part of a prepaid package.
- Promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount unless expressly stated.
- Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to amend, withdraw or discontinue promotional offers at any time. This will not affect packages that have already been purchased, which will continue to be honoured in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available for selected treatments and services.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Unless otherwise stated, gift vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase.
Appointments booked using a gift voucher remain subject to these Terms & Conditions, including the cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Expired gift vouchers cannot be redeemed or extended unless agreed in writing by Laura Reiki & Reflexology in exceptional circumstances.
7. Reiki Training Courses, Workshops, Retreats & Events
A deposit or full payment may be required to secure your place on a Reiki course, workshop, retreat or event.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, all deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel your place after booking, any refund will be subject to the specific cancellation terms provided for that course, workshop, retreat or event.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course, workshop, retreat or event due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient bookings. Where this occurs, participants will be offered either an alternative date or a refund of any payments received.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology shall not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, accommodation or loss of earnings.
8. Medical Information & Client Responsibility
Your health, wellbeing and safety are of the utmost importance.
Before your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a confidential consultation form. You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding your health, medical history, current medication, allergies, pregnancy, injuries or any other condition that may affect your treatment.
You must inform Laura Reiki & Reflexology of any changes to your health or medication before each appointment.
Clients who are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness (including sickness, diarrhoea, influenza-like symptoms or other infectious conditions) are kindly asked to contact Laura Reiki & Reflexology before attending their appointment so that alternative arrangements can be discussed where appropriate.
Certain medical conditions may require written approval from your GP or another suitably qualified healthcare professional before treatment can be provided.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to refuse, postpone or modify a treatment where it is considered that treatment may not be appropriate or in the client’s best interests.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in treatment being declined or discontinued. Where this occurs, the full appointment fee may remain payable.
Reiki and Reflexology are complementary therapies and are not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional. Clients should continue to follow the advice of their GP or other healthcare provider regarding any medical condition.
9. Treatment Boundaries & Professional Conduct
Laura Reiki & Reflexology is committed to providing a professional, respectful, inclusive and confidential environment for every client.
Clients remain fully clothed during all Reiki treatments.
During Reflexology treatments, only the feet and lower legs need to be uncovered. Towels or blankets will always be provided to ensure comfort, warmth and privacy.
Treatment time includes consultation, assessment, treatment, aftercare advice and any comfort breaks.
Clients may be asked to remove footwear, socks, jewellery or other items where necessary for treatment.
Clients must not attend appointments whilst under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where a client appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behaves aggressively, abusively, sexually inappropriately or in any way that compromises the safety, dignity or wellbeing of the therapist or others.
Any appointment terminated due to inappropriate behaviour will be charged in full and no refund will be given.
Respect, kindness and consideration are expected from everyone attending the practice.
Clients are kindly requested to switch mobile phones to silent during treatments to help maintain a peaceful and relaxing environment.
Parking is available at the premises. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
10. Children & Young People
Treatments for anyone under the age of 18 may only be provided with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
A parent or responsible adult may be required to remain on the premises throughout the appointment.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to decline treatment where appropriate consent has not been obtained.
11. Confidentiality, Privacy & Data Protection
Laura Reiki & Reflexology is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.
Personal information is collected only where necessary to provide safe and effective treatments, manage appointments, comply with legal obligations and administer the business.
Information collected may include:
- Contact details
- Emergency contact details
- Consultation forms
- Relevant medical information
- Treatment records
- Appointment history
- Correspondence relating to your care
All information is treated as confidential and stored securely in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal information will never be sold or shared for marketing purposes.
Clients have the right to request access to their personal data, request corrections where appropriate and exercise other rights available under UK data protection legislation.

12. Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
Laura Reiki & Reflexology is committed to complying with UK data protection legislation.
Where required by law, Laura Reiki & Reflexology is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller.
ICO Registration Number: ZB656816.
If you have any concerns regarding how your personal information has been processed, please contact Laura Reiki & Reflexology in the first instance so that every reasonable effort can be made to resolve the matter promptly.
If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
13. Complaints Procedure
Laura Reiki & Reflexology is committed to providing a high standard of care and service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, every reasonable effort will be made to resolve your concerns promptly, fairly and respectfully.
If possible, concerns should first be raised informally, as many issues can be resolved quickly through discussion.
If you wish to make a formal complaint, please submit it in writing by email or post within 28 days of the incident, where reasonably possible.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology aims to:
- Acknowledge your complaint within five (5) working days.
- Investigate the matter fairly and impartially.
- Provide a written response within twenty-eight (28) days, where reasonably practicable.
If additional time is required to investigate your complaint, you will be kept informed of the progress.
Nothing within this procedure affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
14. Liability & Consumer Rights
Laura Reiki & Reflexology will provide all services with reasonable care, skill and professionalism.
While every effort is made to support your wellbeing, no guarantee can be given regarding specific outcomes or results from any treatment, course or service.
Clients remain responsible for their own healthcare decisions and should continue to seek advice from their GP or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional where necessary.
Laura Reiki & Reflexology shall not be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
15. Prices, Promotions & Website Information
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to amend prices, services, treatment durations, promotional offers and special packages at any time without prior notice.
Any changes will not affect appointments, packages or courses that have already been confirmed and paid for unless otherwise agreed with the client.
From time to time, promotional offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be provided at the time of purchase.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that information published on the website, social media pages and promotional materials is accurate and up to date, Laura Reiki & Reflexology cannot guarantee that all information will remain current at all times and reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions.
16. Force Majeure
Laura Reiki & Reflexology shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation or failure to perform its obligations where this results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, flooding, fire, power failure, illness, accidents, government restrictions, pandemics, internet or communication failures, or any other event beyond the reasonable control of the Business.
Where possible, an alternative appointment or course date will be offered.
17. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
Laura Reiki & Reflexology reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes in legislation, business practices or services offered.
The latest version will always be available on the Laura Reiki & Reflexology website.
Any amendments will not affect bookings already confirmed unless required by law or agreed by both parties.

19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By booking an appointment, purchasing a treatment package, enrolling on a Reiki course or attending any service provided by Laura Reiki & Reflexology, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
For your convenience, here is a summary of the key points:
- Appointments are confirmed only once the required payment or deposit has been received.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an individual treatment appointment.
- Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in the loss of your deposit and, where applicable, the full appointment fee remaining payable.
- Prepaid treatment packages and promotional offers are non-refundable and must be used within their stated validity period.
- Unless otherwise stated, the validity period for prepaid treatment packages is equal to the number of treatments purchased, expressed in months.
- Reiki and Reflexology are complementary therapies and are not intended to replace medical advice or treatment.
- Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date medical information before each treatment.
- Personal information is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Laura Reiki & Reflexology is committed to providing a professional, respectful and confidential service to every client.
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Laura Reiki & Reflexology and the Client regarding the services provided.
